Job summary

Hill Dickinson LLP is seeking a Senior Finance Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Finance - Management Information team in Liverpool. The role focuses on transforming reporting from manual processes to automated Power BI dashboards that deliver real-time insights to stakeholders.

You will design end-to-end BI solutions, work with SQL and DAX, and help mature the self-service analytics culture while supporting ongoing legacy reporting. Flexible working arrangements are considered.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building end-to-end Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong SQL for data extraction and modelling.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions.
• Experience with SSRS and enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions, from data ingestion to dashboards.
• Apply data visualization and UX principles to outputs for actionable insight.
• Replace manual Excel processes with scalable automated reporting.
• Develop robust models using Power Query and DAX for accuracy and maintainability.
• Extract, transform and manipulate data using SQL for analysis.
• Maintain and modernise SSRS reporting where appropriate.
• Produce documentation to support auditability and maintenance.
• Analyse data to identify trends, risks and opportunities; advise stakeholders.
• Champion self-service BI and drive data literacy across the organisation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics solutions.
• Support legacy reporting and contribute to Finance BI strategy.
