Job summary

Resourcery Group are recruiting a Senior FP&A Accountant in Liverpool to work with the FD and senior leadership on FP&A and M&A activity. The role combines robust financial analysis with forward-looking insight to support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills, with experience in multi-site budgeting and forecasting in a fast-growing business. Hybrid working is offered with minimum two days in the Liverpool office.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong commercial finance capability.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capability.
• Experience FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering.
• Budgeting and forecasting in a multi-site or operationally complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust financial models translating operational drivers into revenue, cost, cash and balance sheet outcomes.
• Produce scenario analysis and sensitivities to support decisions.
• Partner with operational and senior stakeholders to understand cost drivers and drivers of value.
• Support acquisition activity through financial appraisal, valuation support and due diligence analysis.
• Coordinate and enhance budgeting, re-forecasting and longer-term planning processes.
• Prepare high-quality management information and commentary for leadership.
• Provide analytical support to forecasting, reporting packs, business cases and month-end processes.

Senior FP&A Accountant

Resourcery Group are working with a brilliant £300m turnover multi-site business as they look to hire a Senior FP&A Accountant. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a market leading business at a time of significant growth and expansion. The Senior FP&A Accountant will work closely with the FD and senior leadership team on FP&A and M&A activity in what is a genuine value adding role from day one. They will have strong Financial Modelling and Excel skills and will be responsible for delivering robust financial analysis and forward looking insight that supports operational and strategic decision making.

Our client has modern offices in the heart of Liverpool but has also embraced hybrid working. This role would require the successful candidate to be in the office for 2 days per week as a minimum.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust financial models that translate operational drivers into revenue, cost, cash and balance sheet outcomes.


• Produce scenario analysis and sensitivities to support decisions


• Partner with operational and senior stakeholders including understanding underlying cost drivers


• Support acquisition activity through financial appraisal, valuation support, due diligence analysis, review of historic performance, identification of key risks and opportunities, and post acquisition performance tracking.


• Coordinate and enhance budgeting, re-forecasting and longer term planning processes


• Prepare high quality management information, insight and commentary for the Financial Controller, CFO and wider leadership team


• Provide flexible support to the wider finance function, adding analytical resource to forecasting, reporting packs, business cases, month end support and finance process improvement activity where needed

Key Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong relevant commercial finance capability.


• Advanced Excel skills, including strong financial modelling capability


• Comfortable handling large data sets and turning them into clear analysis


• Experience in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering role.


• Building financial models and scenario analysis that support decision making.


• Budgeting and forecasting in a multi site or operationally complex environment.
