As Senior FP&A Analyst – Commercial Lead / Business Partner, you will be the FP&A lead responsible for driving forward the commercial activities of the European organisation. Serving as business partner to the commercial teams and functional leaders, providing actionable financial insight, reporting, analysis, influence and supporting key business & strategic decisions through relevant and timely business information and analytics.

Reporting to the Finance Director – Commercial, Operations and FP&A, this key role will focus on improving the quality and depth of data, analytics and insight. You will provide detailed analysis of key drivers impacting performance, alongside improving and standardising financial processes and procedures. Ultimately, your goal is to drive best practice, increase consistency, and enhance transparency across the region.

This is a hybrid role based at our European Head Quarters in Solihull. In addition to a competitive salary, pension, and 25 days holiday, we offer a comprehensive range of employee benefits including relocation packages, salary sacrifices, and employee discounts.
What your impact will be:
  1. Lead consolidated European commercial financial management reporting - validate, report, forecast, and provide insight on commercial performance.
  2. Develop Financial Commercial Excellence metrics and reporting, ensuring timely provision of KPIs, data analytics, value-added commentary, and challenge to the commercial organization.
  3. Provide key commercial KPIs and analysis for Monthly Operating Reports, Board Packs, Forecasts/Budgets, and other reporting.
  4. Drive consistency and transparency in financial reporting methodology to ensure accuracy, reliability, and internal benchmarking.
  5. Harmonize financial commercial reporting of volume, price, mix, sales initiatives, new product sales, and market performance, comparing actuals versus budgets, forecasts, and prior year.
  6. Develop consistent European product/customer profitability analysis, including cross-border and wall-to-wall profitability, working with EU Pricing and EU BI Team to enhance transparency and data-driven decision making.
  7. Lead governance over commercial activities and processes such as pricing, discounts, sales rebates, commissions, aged debt, and bad debt provisions.
  8. Communicate clearly with data, explaining business drivers behind financial data and potential implications on future results to facilitate decision making.
  9. Translate financial and non-financial commercial metrics into actionable operating plans to support stakeholders in driving the business forward.
  10. Lead European commercial forecast and budget processes, ensuring accuracy, realism, and achievement of targets through sound financial analysis and continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed:
  1. At least 5+ years of experience in a multi-site, multi-country finance or accounting role.
  2. Experience working for a blue-chip company, preferably a US Multinational.
  3. Experience working in a global, matrix-managed organization.
  4. Strong commercial and/or manufacturing sector experience.
  5. Excellent relationship management, influencing, and communication skills across all levels.
  6. Experience in system and process development, with a proven track record of implementing new processes effectively.
  7. Ability to challenge the status quo and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  8. Advanced IT skills, including building robust financial models (PBI, Excel, Access, Data Warehouse).
  9. Experience with data extraction, manipulation, transformation, interpretation, and working with large data sets to generate meaningful insights.
  10. Knowledge of BI Tools / Data Warehouse such as Tableau / Snowflake.
