Job summary

Accountable Recruitment is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Head of FP&A on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in Liverpool City Centre with hybrid working (3 days in office / 2 days at home), the role offers high visibility within the finance leadership team.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, board packs and financial modelling, shaping strategy and driving profitability while engaging senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget, forecasting and long-range planning processes
• Produce board packs, management reports and performance analyses
• Deliver meaningful financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Develop financial models to support investments and initiatives
• Drive improvement across forecasting, reporting and planning
• Partner with operational leaders to challenge performance and identify growth opportunities
• Monitor performance against key financial and operational metrics
• Support strategic projects and transformational initiatives
• Lead scenario planning and risk analysis
• Manage and develop a high-performing FP&A team
• Build relationships across finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded organisation to recruit a Head of FP&A on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Based in Liverpool City Centre, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a high-performing finance leadership team and play a key role in driving business performance through strategic planning, insightful analysis and effective financial decision-making.

This position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the business and will be instrumental in shaping financial strategy during an important period of growth and development.

The Opportunity

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the annual budget, forecasting and long-range planning processes

• Delivering meaningful financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Developing financial models to support investment decisions and business initiatives
• Driving continuous improvement across forecasting, reporting and planning processes

About You

We are keen to speak with qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) who can demonstrate:

• Significant FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering experience
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Experience influencing and challenging senior stakeholders
• A track record of leading budgeting and forecasting processes within a complex organisation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A proactive and commercially focused mindset
