Job summary

Sheldon Phillips Ltd in London seeks a Service Manager to lead Fostering Innovations, developing fostering resources and supervising social work teams in line with safeguarding standards and Ofsted requirements. You will oversee budgeting, policy implementation, provider forums, inspections readiness and recruitment targets, ensuring high-quality outcomes for children and young people served by the agency.

The role requires a Social Work England registration and a recognised social work

Qualifications

• Experience leading fostering services or children’s social care teams.
• Knowledge of national guidelines and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve fostering service performance to meet Ofsted standards.
• Lead a team of managers and social workers to deliver high-quality foster care.
• Coordinate inspections, inspections readiness and reporting.
• Manage budgeting, planning and contract delivery for fostering resources.
• Lead recruitment and training efforts for foster carers and staff.
