Job summary

Sheldon Phillips Ltd is assisting in recruiting a Fostering Service Manager for Fostering Innovations. The role is anchored in Hillingdon, London, offering £55,000-£60,000 annually with two in-office days weekly.

You will oversee all fostering operations, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance while leading a team of social workers and supervisors to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration.
• Social Work qualification.
• Enhanced DBS (Provided by us).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the activities of the fostering service and ensure quality performance that exceeds the National Minimum Standards and meets the Fostering Services (England) Regulations.
• Ensure the fostering service is organised, managed and staffed to produce the best possible outcomes for children; safeguarding at the centre of all you do.
• Prepare the fostering service and co-ordinate activities for Ofsted inspections and other regulatory frameworks.
• Contribute to service planning and development, including provider forums, tendering/contracting, and publicity materials.
• Manage a team of Team Manager, Approved Foster Carers and Supervising Social Workers with robust supervision.
• Maintain high standards to promote positive outcomes for children and ensure Ofsted ratings remain Outstanding or Good.
• Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and align agency practice with UK legislation and national standards.
• Lead training and development activities within the agency and contribute to strategic planning.
• Work within budget and promote placement stability and value for money.
• Recruit fostering carers under direction of Directors and achieve recruitment targets.
• Liaise with Ofsted or equivalent bodies, providing statutory notifications as required.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field of foster care and drive continuous improvement.
