Job summary

Citi London is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to design and implement production-grade agent reasoning loops, MCP servers, and robust execution pipelines within LOB squads. You will work with AI models and enterprise systems, ensure security and reliability in live deployments, and contribute to testing, evaluation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python and strong software engineering background.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with REST/gRPC, Docker, Git, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and JSON output validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-quality agent reasoning logic and memory handling.
• Build MCP servers and robust error-handling for enterprise use.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.).
• Implement retries, HITL escalation, and guardrails for safety.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in sprint reviews.
