8x8 UK Ltd. is hiring a Senior Firewall / Security Network Engineer to own the design, delivery, and operation of its firewall and security estate across on-prem data centers and cloud environments (AWS, OCI).

This hands-on role will set the architecture for hybrid connectivity and manage day-to-day changes and incidents to keep the business secure and connected. You will lead migrations to FortiGate, manage quarterly upgrades, and ensure policy consistency across sites while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Hands-on FortiGate FortiOS expertise with policy, SSL inspection and logging.
• Cloud network security design for AWS and OCI and hybrid on-prem/cloud flows.
• Disciplined change management: planning, testing, rollback, peer review.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver firewall/security layer for cloud and hybrid connectivity (AWS, OCI, on-prem).
• Own policy design and migration planning to ensure secure cross-site workloads.
• Lead migrations to FortiGate and plan quarterly software upgrades.
• Triage connectivity incidents and ensure availability across sites.
• Integrate firewalls with logging/monitoring and compliance.
