Job summary

8x8, Inc. is hiring a Senior Firewall / Security Network Engineer to own the design, delivery, and operation of the firewall and network-security estate across on-prem data centers and cloud (AWS, OCI).

Qualifications

• Hands-on FortiGate FortiOS expertise including VDOMs, NAT, TLS inspection.
• Cloud network security design in AWS and/or OCI including hybrid flows.
• Disciplined change management with testing and rollback planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver firewall/security layer for cloud and hybrid connectivity (AWS Transit Gateway, VPC, GWLB; OCI).
• Own route/prefix and policy design to ensure secure cloud-to-on-prem connectivity.
• Lead migrations from legacy devices to FortiGate; plan upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with SecOps, Cloud, and Platform teams during migrations and planning.
• Triage connectivity incidents and maintain firewall availability and access.
• Integrate firewalls with logging/monitoring (FortiAnalyzer, SIEM).
