Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Swindon is recruiting for a manufacturing operator to support 24/7 production lines in a GMP environment. The role involves aseptic filling, line setup, and strict adherence to SOPs and BMRs, with licensing requirements and ongoing competency requalification.

You will work across batch manufacturing processes, contribute to continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with cGMP while supporting cleanroom operations and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment ( MHRA/FDA ) essential.
• Experience in clean room working and aseptic manufacturing desirable.
• Experience with spray drying, bulk GMP powder or powder filling is a plus.
• Strong scientific background and numeracy are required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate bulking and aseptic filling lines per SOPs.
• Maintain Bronze license access and requalification every 2 years.
• Manufacture pharmaceuticals following BMRs and GMP standards.
• Perform manufacturing, filling and packaging tasks with cGMP compliance.
• Optimize equipment to reduce downtime and waste; support start-ups and changeovers.
• Monitor equipment; report faults to supervision.
• Clean rooms/equipment to regulatory standards; perform CIP and SIP.
• Operate autoclaves and automated cleaning systems.
• Record non-conformances and support investigations.
• Support validation and new product introductions; perform SAP transactions.
