Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Formulation Development Chemist to join the Formulation Development Department within the Product Technology and Engineering Group. You will lead formulation projects and bring formulated products to market.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent experience, hands-on laboratory work, data science knowledge, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related discipline, or equivalent industrial experience.
• Basic knowledge of project management.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with safe, independent work.
• Basic data science knowledge to support experiment design and data analysis.
• Experience formulating products for commercial applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation scientist on technical projects to bring products to market.
• Define formulation workplans and validate data.
• Engage with cross-functional functions across the organisation.
• Identify opportunities to generate IP in projects.
• Provide technical support of formulated products in the market.
• Train colleagues and supervise less experienced staff.
• Develop broad technical knowledge and stay updated on field developments.
