Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Psychologist to join the Mental Health Team at HMP Woodhill. You will provide a comprehensive specialist psychology service within a prison health care setting, integrating clinical psychology into the wider team and supervising junior staff.

We welcome applicants with extensive experience in forensic or clinical psychology, HCPC registration, and a track record of delivering assessments and therapies in secure settings.

Qualifications

• Doctoral level training in clinical, forensic or counselling psychology.
• HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist.
• Post-qualification specialist training and developing expertise.

Responsibilities

• Carry out specialist psychological assessments across care settings.
• Formulate and implement plans for formal psychological treatment.
• Provide specialist assessments of cognitive impairment and adapt interventions.
• Offer specialist advice and consultation to other professionals.
• Undertake risk assessment and management for complex cases.
