Job summary

West London Forensic Service (WLFS) seeks a Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join the inpatient team on a male low secure complex rehabilitation ward. The post is 1.0 WTE for 1-year fixed term and can be appointed at Band 7 or Band 8a depending on experience, with a preceptorship towards 8a for Band 7.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered clinical psychologist with forensic specialism.
• Experience in inpatient, male low secure settings.
• Experience in MDT working and risk assessment.
• Ability to supervise staff and provide training.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychology services on a low secure ward.
• Develop and deliver psychologically informed treatments.
• Contribute to cross-ward group therapy programme.
• Advise on risk assessment and risk management.
• Supervision, service development and audit.
