Job summary

ESSEX PARTNERSHIP UNIVERSITY NHS FOUNDATION TRUST is seeking a Senior Forensic Practitioner (Band 7) to provide clinical and operational leadership within the Specialist Community Forensic Team. You will manage a clinical caseload and lead a multidisciplinary team to coordinate assessments, care planning and risk management across Essex.

You will chair MDTs, support service development, and help implement extended-hours working while maintaining high standards of practice and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical leadership within a forensic or community mental health service.
• Ability to manage caseloads while leading teams.
• Knowledge of transition and discharge planning.
• Experience in risk assessment and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership within the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT).
• Hold a clinical caseload while leading and coordinating the team caseload with effective multidisciplinary working.
• Lead MDT meetings and contribute to service model development, including longer hours and extended regional teams.
• Contribute to supervision, staff development and service improvement, and manage clinical risk.
