Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join a leading infrastructure contractor on a clean water scheme in Canterbury. The role requires strong on-site leadership of civil and construction activities within UK Water/Wastewater projects operated under AMP6/AMP7/AMP8.

You will manage day-to-day planning, supervise plant, labour and subcontractors, oversee safety and environmental controls, and ensure deliveries are stored and PPE is available.

Qualifications

• SSSTS/SMSTS qualification required.
• CSCS Supervisor Card required.
• First Aid At Work certification required.

Responsibilities

• General management of all construction and civil engineering activities.
• Daily allocation of plant, labour, and materials.
• Coordination of site activities, including subcontractors.
• Management of the workforce on-site to ensure safe working methods and minimal environmental impact.
• Ensuring deliveries are stored in a safe area to prevent injury to the public and staff and to avoid plant damage.
• Ensuring the correct PPE is available and used.
