Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd in Salford/Greater Manchester is seeking a Contract Supervisor to oversee hard FM services across 26 commercial sites. The role requires a technically strong background in building services maintenance and experience leading engineering teams.

You will report to the Contract Manager, ensure planned and reactive maintenance meets safety and contractual standards, and drive performance against KPIs and SLAs. A UK driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Requirements: Supervisory experience within Facilities Management.
• Requirements: Strong mechanical or electrical building services background.
• Requirements: Experience managing engineering teams.
• Requirements: Good understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance.
• Requirements: Experience using CAFM systems.
• Requirements: Knowledge of KPIs, SLAs and health and safety procedures.
• Requirements: Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Requirements: Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications desirable.
• Requirements: Full UK driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing a team of static maintenance engineers across 26 sites.
• Overseeing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
• Ensuring statutory compliance and health and safety standards are maintained.
• Monitoring engineering performance against KPIs and SLAs.
• Supporting the Contract Manager with day-to-day contract operations.
• Coordinating subcontractors and specialist maintenance providers.
• Managing workloads and ensuring maintenance is completed on schedule.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records through CAFM systems.
• Carrying out site inspections, compliance checks and audits.
• Acting as the first point of escalation for engineering and client issues.
• Supporting emergency maintenance and participating in the on-call rota when required.
