Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to join our Evidence Services Delivery Teams. You will support and provide assurance to complex flood risk models and explain uncertainty to stakeholders.

You will lead modelling efforts across six Fluvial Delivery Teams, collaborating with hydrology, GIS specialists, and risk mapping colleagues, contributing to the Centre of Excellence across the directorate.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Experience building hydraulic flood models in a fluvial setting with GIS.
• Experience in data processing and GIS software packages.
• Mentoring and coaching skills with commitment to development.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to solve problems.
• Excellent communication of complex issues to non-experts.
