Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer for Leatherhead on a hybrid basis. The role involves delivering flow assurance studies, developing pipeline models, and guiding project teams in a global consulting setting. Travel to client sites may be required.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in flow assurance, expertise with OLGA and PIPESIM, and strong report writing and presentation skills. This is a 6-month engagement with an Outside IR35 rate consideration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years hands-on experience in flow assurance modeling using OLGA.
• Experience in single and multiphase pipelines and transient hydraulics.
• Ability to lead project teams and communicate technical results to clients.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities Provide technical guidance andexpertiseduring studyexecution; Conduct Flow Assurance studies using software packages, e.g., OLGA,PIPESIMetc. Develop pipeline simulation models, perform simulations of selected cases as defined by self /projectand assess simulation results. Interface with client technical staff to
develop and present outcomes and to discuss technical issues;Travel to client sites or offices may berequired; Perform design calculations and prepare technical reportsin accordance withcompany and project quality requirements. Guide and supervise juniorengineers; Lead, or be part of, project and study teams, according to the workscope; Reporttoflow assuranceSME. Contribute toflow assurance strategies,philosophiesand procedures. Demonstrate excellent technical report writing and presentation skills. Experience In single and multiphase pipelines(steady state and transient hydraulic)analyses using industry standard software, e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM,PIPENETetc. is essential. Minimum6years of hands-on experience in flow assurance modeling using OLGA transient simulation software. Assessing flow assurance issues like slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion,corrosionetc. byuse ofsimulationsoftwareand providing the best mitigation solutions. An ability to workin a collaborative wayas part of a
multi-discipline project group with minimum supervision. Pipeline sizing andthermo-hydraulics Studies,transient analysis covering shut down, blowdown, start-Up, ramp-up / turndown scenarios. Pipeline overpressure protection studies including surge pressure analysis. Knowledge of flow assurance issuesincludingslugging, hydrates, wax, erosion,corrosionetc. and mitigation methods. Good understanding of thermodynamics and experience ofMultiflashpreferred. Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards. In Flow assurance conceptual andfront-endstudies and topsides process engineering activities including process modeling in HYSYS would bean advantage but not essential.
