Job summary

NRL is seeking a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer for a six-month contract in Leatherhead with hybrid working. The role focuses on delivering flow assurance studies using OLGA and PIPESIM, building dynamic pipeline models, performing transient analyses, and producing client-ready reports.

The team will mentor junior engineers and contribute to study execution and strategy. The position offers a competitive hourly rate (£55–£65) outside IR35, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years hands-on flow assurance modelling for multiphase pipelines.
• Expertise in transient simulation and hydrodynamics issues.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline sizing and thermo-hydraulic studies.
• Full right to live and work in the UK.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance during study execution.
• Conduct flow assurance studies using OLGA and PIPESIM.
• Build and maintain pipeline models, run simulations, analyze results.
• Deliver reports and present outcomes to client technical teams.
• Perform design calculations and prepare technical documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on methodologies and best practices.
• Lead or contribute to study teams as defined by project scope.
• Support development of flow assurance strategies and procedures.
