Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience planning, design or delivery of flood risk, water management or reservoir projects.
• Knowledge of UK design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience producing engineering calculations, reports and technical designs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the civil design of flood risk management and water infrastructure projects.
• Develop solutions for reservoir storage and attenuation systems.
• Undertake hydraulic and hydrological assessments to inform design.
• Design earthworks, embankments, spillways and outlet structures.
• Deliver surface water and drainage strategies including SuDS.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduates.
• Contribute to business development and client relationships.
