Job summary

Pell Frischmann is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join the Flood and Water Management team across the UK. You will support delivery of flood alleviation schemes, reservoir/storage infrastructure, SuDS and other water sector programmes.

Flexible across UK offices with hybrid working, inviting engineers at various levels from Engineer to Principal. You’ll contribute to feasibility through to detailed design, construction support and asset management, while mentoring juniors and engaging with

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience in planning/design or delivery of flood risk, water management or reservoir projects.
Knowledge of UK design standards, guidance and regulatory requirements.
Experience producing engineering calculations, reports and technical designs.

Responsibilities

Lead civil design of flood risk management and water infrastructure projects.
Develop reservoir storage, balancing ponds, attenuation systems and flood alleviation schemes.
Undertake hydraulic and hydrological assessments to inform engineering design.
Design earthworks, embankments, spillways and associated civil infrastructure.
Deliver surface water and drainage strategies, including SuDS.
Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, design packages and specifications.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and graduates.
Collaborate with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary project teams.
