Job summary

CAE is seeking a Flight Simulator Instructor to deliver flight and ground training on designated programmes at our Crawley-based facility. Reporting to the Training Manager, you will lead simulator sessions, conduct briefings and coaching to support pilot development while maintaining regulatory standards.

The role requires ATPL, type rating, 1500 hours multi-pilot time and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.

Qualifications

• ATPL or equivalent
• Relevant aircraft type rating with operational experience or equivalent
• Minimum 1,500 hours of multi-pilot flight time
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and internet apps
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
• Customer-focused approach to training delivery and service
• Willingness to work flexible hours in a 24/7 environment
• Residence within two-hour drive of training facility
• Full-time permanent position (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities

• Deliver flight training and ground training activities per programme requirements
• Conduct classroom systems training, performance ground school and simulator-based pilot training
• Ensure training complies with authorisations, qualifications and regulatory requirements
• Conduct effective pre-flight and post-flight briefings
• Maintain training records and documentation
• Support curriculum and courseware updates to improve training
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Scheduling, HR and Regulatory Affairs
• Pursue additional instructor qualifications as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Training Manager
