Flight Simulator Integration Specialist — UK Travel & Tech

Job summary

CAE is seeking an Integration Specialist to join our UK team. You will support delivery, development and continuous improvement of system integrations for CAE flight simulators across multiple UK sites, with travel as required.

You will act as the main contact for software issues, lead and assist engineers during integration, and provide project status updates to management. The role involves updating avionic and simulator systems, guiding hardware/software integration, and coordinating tasks

Qualifications

• Experience working on flight simulators (fixed wing, rotary, commercial or military) is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel across UK sites, including overnight stays.
• Excellent communication when supporting engineers and technicians on-site or via phone.
• Must have a Full UK driving license.
• Must have right to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Update computers, avionic systems, visuals and other simulator components.
• Hands-on interaction with multiple software and hardware platforms.
• Hardware setup and integration.
• Software scripting, debugging and integration.
• Schedule and coordinate hardware and software integration tasks with other groups.
• Maintain understanding of configuration management, interfaces and software development.
• Provide technical support during evaluations of training devices.
• Assist in resolving acceptance faults.
• Coordinate/review technical deliverables before submission to the customer.
• Attend project team meetings and customer reviews.
• Support CAE UK collaboration with other CAE entities.
• Stay current with software advances and their CAE applications.
• Prepare requirement specifications and related software process documents.
• Adhere to company and contract standards.
• Travel to multiple UK locations to support customers/projects.
• May travel outside the UK for ad hoc support.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.
