Job summary

LKQ Euro Car Parts is seeking a Senior Technical Vehicle Maintenance Engineer to provide expert leadership across the fleet maintenance function. You will ensure safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective operation of commercial vehicles and assets.

You will lead technical reviews, monitor performance, and drive preventative maintenance strategies while engaging with suppliers, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to optimise expenditure and reliability.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of LCV, fleet operations, and workshop/dealership functions.
• Experience diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faults.
• Understanding of DVSA maintenance requirements.
• Experience leading investigations and root-cause analyses.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority on vehicle maintenance and repair methods.
• Provide expert support on complex faults and engineering investigations.
• Lead root cause analysis of vehicle failures and major incidents.
• Monitor fleet reliability, availability, and maintenance performance.
• Develop preventative maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and costs.
• Oversee third-party maintenance providers and supplier performance.
• Lead engineering projects to improve fleet performance and safety.
