Job summary

LKQ Euro Car Parts is seeking a Senior Technical Vehicle Maintenance Engineer to provide expert leadership across the fleet maintenance function in the UK. You will drive maintenance standards, diagnostics, and defect investigations, while collaborating with branches, OEMs, and suppliers to maximise fleet availability.

The role requires strong experience in vehicle maintenance, DVSA compliance, and knowledge of electric/hybrid technologies, with a focus on reducing downtime and cost.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of DVSA requirements and repair methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority on vehicle maintenance, engineering standards and repair methodologies.
• Lead technical reviews and root cause analyses of vehicle failures.
• Support major incident investigations related to vehicle safety or reliability.
• Oversight of defect management, and audit-ready maintenance records.
• Lead engineering projects to improve fleet performance and cost efficiency.
