Payward's FIU Scale Team is building robust, scalable transaction monitoring to support growth while staying compliant across jurisdictions. We are seeking an experienced AML professional to lead monitoring optimization, automation, and AI-enabled tool adoption.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement vendor integrations, improve alert triage, investigations, and SAR filings, and reduce false positives, enabling efficient, compliant growth across products and regions.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in AML, financial crime compliance, or FIU operations under BSA/AML regimes.
• 3+ years designing, testing, and tuning transaction monitoring rules including thresholds.
• 3+ years with transaction monitoring systems and compliance tooling, including case management platforms and monitoring infrastructure.
• Experience in regulated financial institutions (EU/UK/US).
• Experience driving process optimization or automation within compliance or financial crime programs.
• Experience cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, or Operations to implement monitoring controls or regtech solutions.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with dashboards and metrics.
• Experience in fintech/payments/crypto environments with scalable controls for growth.
• Experience with AI/ML/LLM-enabled compliance tools for automation or alert triage.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic).
• Experience supporting vendor selection or integration of regtech solutions.

• Lead transaction monitoring optimization, including rule testing, threshold tuning, and rollout of new monitoring scenarios.
• Drive automation and workflow improvements across FIU processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance alert triage and investigations.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to support vendor integrations and tooling enhancements.
• Collaborate with Compliance leadership to maintain well-governed monitoring frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Support FIU scalability by designing processes for new products, regions, and higher volumes.
