Job summary

Kraken International is expanding its FIU Scale Team to enhance AML transaction monitoring and automation across jurisdictions. You will lead optimization, design monitoring scenarios, and drive efficiency with automation and AI-enabled tooling.

The role involves collaborating with Product, Engineering and Compliance leadership to implement scalable monitoring controls for new products and regions, while maintaining regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AML/financial crime compliance with transaction monitoring
• 3+ years designing, testing, and tuning monitoring rules
• 3+ years working with transaction monitoring systems and compliance tooling
• Experience in regulated financial institutions licensed in EU/UK/US
• Experience driving automation in compliance programs
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data or Operations
• Experience with AI/LLM-enabled compliance tools
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic)
• Experience supporting regtech vendor selection and integrations

Responsibilities

• Lead transaction monitoring optimization, test rules, tune thresholds, and roll out new monitoring scenarios
• Identify and drive automation and workflow improvements across FIU processes to raise efficiency
• Evaluate and implement AI/LLM tools to enhance alert triage, investigations and SAR filing
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to support vendor integrations and FIU tooling enhancements
• Collaborate with Compliance leadership to maintain well-governed transaction monitoring frameworks
• Support FIU scalability by designing processes to expand into new products and regions
