Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a capable supervisor to manage first-line service, reactive maintenance, and small works modifications for internal and external clients within EMCOR UK group. You will oversee planned maintenance, upgrades, and commissioning while coordinating engineers and subcontractors across multiple contracts.

Qualifications

• Must have Fire and Security knowledge/experience.
• Extensive operational supervisory experience.
• Technical expertise and qualification in a Building Services related engineering discipline.
• Smart presentable appearance and a good team player.
• Knowledge of key operational procedures (planned maintenance systems, quality and health and safety, JDE and JDE Financial reporting).
• IT Literacy (Word, Excel and Project Management Tools).
• Working supervisor role (≈70% hands‑on, 30% administration), with progression toward a non‑working supervisory position as the division develops.
• Be self‑motivated, flexible in approach to all duties and able to work on own initiative.
• Good sound knowledge and understanding of commercial and contractual issues.
• Experience with large commercial clients and multiple manufacturers is beneficial.
• Valid Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and supervise planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Upgrades and system repairs.
• Modifications in line with contract requirements.
• Supervision of engineers/specialist subcontractors.
• Regular communication with the client on KPIs and SLAs.
• Assist with annual business plan, objectives and targets; review performance and drive financial targets.
• Annual performance appraisals for staff under supervision.
• Identify and resolve service delivery and KPI issues under supervision.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and standards across contracts.
• Meet with customers to sustain value and quality of EMCOR’s contractual business.
• Assist Service Centre Manager in expanding contract value.
• Supervision of sub-contractors and procurement within EMCOR framework.
• Ensure accurate invoicing and monthly reporting.
• Maintain contract documentation and WIP management.
• Oversee health, safety, security, environmental and technical compliance.
• Participate in on‑call roster and ensure coverage.
• Support staff welfare and training needs.
• Utilize IMS System and EMCOR.net for staff.
