Job summary

Eden Brown is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Fire Engineer for a fully remote role based in the UK. You will deliver fire engineering solutions across planning, design and construction on diverse projects ranging from residential to data centres.

The ideal candidate will have 4–10 years in fire consultancy, strong communication skills, and experience producing Fire Strategies independently. Chartership support and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4–10 years experience in Fire Engineering Consultancy.
• Experience producing Fire Strategies independently.
• Strong knowledge of Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991.
• Familiar with Building Regulations and Fire Safety guidance.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• IFE membership desirable; Chartered status advantageous.
• CFD modelling using FDS/Pathfinder desirable.
• Experience on high-rise, mixed-use, logistics, industrial or data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fire engineering solutions across planning, design and construction phases.
• Prepare Fire Strategy Reports for various building types.
• Produce Fire Statements to support planning applications.
• Undertake means of escape assessments and occupancy calculations.
• Develop compartmentation and passive fire protection strategies.
• Advise on smoke control and evacuation strategies.
• Coordinate with Architects, Developers and Building Control.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers when appropriate.
