Job summary

4way Recruitment Ltd has partnered with a Hampshire fire and security company to recruit a Senior Fire Commissioning Engineer. This role focuses on commissioning addressable fire alarm systems and involves occasional travel across the South Coast.

The successful candidate will bring strong fault-finding skills, a fire-biased background and experience with fire and security systems, plus a full UK driving licence and excellent customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fire Commissioning Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of addressable Fire Alarm systems.
• Good understanding of Cause & Effect.
• Fire-biased Fire & Security background.
• Experience working on Security systems.
• Strong fault-finding skills across both Fire & Security.
• Experience carrying out maintenance and small works.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test addressable fire alarm systems.
• Work with and understand Cause & Effect requirements.
• Service and maintain Fire Alarm systems.
• Service and maintain Security systems.
• Carry out fault finding across both Fire & Security.
• Attend planned and reactive maintenance visits.
• Participate in the company call out rota.
• Provide technical advice and support to other engineers.
