Job summary

ASOS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the FinOps team in London, focusing on cost visibility and optimization across Azure. You will own data pipelines, pricing models, and governance to help product teams make cost-aware decisions.

You will lead architectural decisions, work with Finance to model cost scenarios, and mentor other engineers in cost-aware engineering practices. This role emphasizes evidence-based decisions and impact at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience building cost visibility and governance across cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and architectural skills.
• Ability to influence decisions with data and evidence.

Responsibilities

• Design data products to make cloud cost visible and attributable.
• Own data pipelines and delta lake modeling for cost data.
• Develop Power BI semantic models for cost reporting.
• Lead optimization work across cloud estate (right-sizing, autoscale).
• Collaborate with Product Delivery and Finance to align on cost strategy.
