Job summary

Hitachi Digital Services is seeking a hands-on FinOps engineer to lead cost visibility, data integration, and reporting for the organisation’s on‑premises estate. Working under the FinOps Architect, you will connect data sources, build dashboards, analyse usage patterns, identify savings, and support governance processes in line with FinOps.org.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FinOps.org) — required or willingness to certify within 6 months.
• Hands-on experience building cost dashboards and reports for multi-stakeholder audiences.
• Experience with on-premises licence management and optimisation in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement cost data integration from identified sources: CMDB, asset management, procurement systems, licence portals, and monitoring tools.
• Build cost dashboards and reports for executives and business units.
• Lead tagging and cost allocation improvements across on‑premises assets.
• Develop unit economics, cost models, and amortisation schedules for cost governance.
