Monzo is seeking a proactive Financial Reporting Senior Analyst to join the Finance team. The role suits a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with an audit background, focused on automating reporting and strengthening controls.

You will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and work on expanding our reporting capabilities as Monzo scales, including ESG disclosures. You will collaborate with engineering and data teams, support year-end processes, and ensure policy compliance for new

Qualifications

• Qualified chartered accountant (ACA or CA) with audit experience and financial reporting background.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
• Comfortable leveraging data to automate reporting and improve efficiency (SQL a bonus).

Responsibilities

• Understand the business and product to write insightful management commentary.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to automate reporting elements.
• Ensure accounting system usage exploits features to minimise manual reporting.
• Maintain and scale reporting policies, controls and processes.
• Support year-end process with external auditors to final sign-off.
• Review new contracts for proper accounting treatment and policy impact.
• Work with business to assess accounting changes for new products and standards.
• Support ESG sustainability reporting and disclosures.
• Prepare monthly management and ad-hoc reports with meaningful analysis.
