Job summary

Monzo in London is seeking a proactive Financial Reporting Senior Analyst to strengthen our finance function. You will work with the Financial Reporting Manager, automating production elements with our data teams and ensuring scalable controls.

The role is ideal for a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with audit experience, comfortable navigating banking regulations, ESG reporting, and partnering with business teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified chartered accountant (ACA or CA) with audit and financial reporting experience.
• Experience automating reporting processes with data teams.
• Understanding of banking regulatory and ESG reporting is a plus.
• Strong business partnering and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business and our products to write insightful management commentary.
• Collaborate with engineers and data teams to automate the production elements of reporting.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls to stay scalable.
• Support the full year-end process and liaise with external auditors.
• Review new products for accounting impact and implement in banking platform and systems.
• Work with the business to assess accounting policy changes for new products.
• Maintain balance sheet substantiation processes and strengthening controls.
• Assist with implementing new accounting system to minimize manual tasks.
• Support ESG sustainability reporting and disclosures.
• Prepare monthly management reports with meaningful movement analysis.
• Review accounting impact of new contracts with business and legal teams.
