Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional seeks a driven journalist to cover financial services legislation and regulation in the UK. You will produce deep-dive analyses and timely news while offering forward-looking insights for policy makers and industry leaders.

The role involves in-depth research, interviews, and collaboration with global teams to identify compelling stories and explain complex regulatory topics with precision.

Qualifications

• Great reporting, media or publishing industry experience or knowledge.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work across international teams.
• Commitment to producing high-quality,accurate reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent command of English; ability in other European languages an advantage.
• Newsroom experience, ideally from covering financial services regulation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and interviews, turn around urgentcopy and write to deadline
• Identifystories that appeal to the readership. Useexpertiseto write big-impact investigations and commentary pieces
• Support senior journalists and editors by researching news stories or preparing information for coverage
• Understand and explain complex regulatory or policy topics, exercise strong news judgement and ensure attention to detail
