Job summary

Paradigm Housing is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst in High Wycombe to manage financial planning within a values-driven organization. The role involves overseeing the 30-year business plan and contributing to investment appraisals in a supportive environment focused on social goals. Qualifications

  • Experience of preparing and presenting Financial Forecast Returns is highly desirable.
  • Experience of Proval or similar development appraisal system.
  • Understanding key financial metrics such as lender covenants.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the 30-year business plan.
  • Work with different areas of the business to deliver corporate plan.
  • Review investment appraisals with Development and Strategic Asset Management teams.

Skills

Understanding of key long term financial planning approaches

About the role: Reporting into the Assistant Finance Director for Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for managing the 30-year business plan. You will work with different areas of the business to include budgets and spend to deliver our corporate plan as well as ensure the Group operates within our financial capacity by remaining in compliance with our treasury standards, lender covenants and rating agency metrics.You will also be responsible for assisting the (housing) Development team and Strategic Asset Management team to review investment appraisals.

The successful candidate should have/be:

  • An Understanding of key long term financial planning approaches and principles.
  • Able to interpret and analyse financial statements.
  • Understand key financial metrics such as lender covenants and rating agencies’ metrics.
  • Experience of Proval or similar development appraisal system.
  • Experience of preparing and presenting Financial Forecast Return is highly desirable.
  • Experience of using Brixx software (desirable).
  • UK social housing OR residential property development experience (desirable).

About you: We are looking for someone who can accurately manage various sources of data input, then consolidate this to prepare a business plan. You must be comfortable with presenting financial data and explaining outputs to non-finance colleagues.

Our ideal candidate has experience (or can demonstrate) the ability to challenge colleagues where required, to ensure that inputs are correct and reflect the actual business positions.

You will have a can-do attitude and will be keen to learn about the social housing sector, including the terminology and systems used. Whilst an ideal candidate has experience within the social housing sector, we do have a comprehensive training package to provide the correct candidate with industry knowledge.
