Job summary

Finatal is partnering with a private equity-backed infrastructure business to appoint a Financial Controller to strengthen the finance function and support the CFO through growth. The role covers month-end close, financial reporting, controls, budgeting and cash flow planning, with exposure to audit, tax compliance and large-scale investment programmes.

You will partner with operational teams and develop the finance team.

Qualifications

• ACA/Chartered Accountant with Big Four or Top 10 practice experience.
• Experience in asset-intensive infrastructure or energy sectors is preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs.
• Oversee audit, statutory accounts and tax compliance.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and treasury.
• Enhance financial controls, governance and risk frameworks.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Drive finance transformation and process improvements.
• Partner with operations and commercial teams across the business.
• Support acquisitions, integration and growth projects.
• Mentor junior finance staff.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and CapEx reporting across projects.
