AWS Finance seeks a world class Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of its team supporting our fast-growing Commercial Sales organization for EMEA.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner closely with the Sales and operations teams to analyze business performance, communicate financial results, run financial models, and evaluate business opportunities. You will drive financial controllership and compliance to internal policies, and innovate to improve our finance tools and processes. As a member of the EMEA Finance team, you will be involved in EMEA-wide projects and/or Subject Matter Expertise.

This role requires a solid financial modeling background, advanced Excel skills, problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations and project management skills. This role involves regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and necessitates strong interpersonal skills.

Key job responsibilities:

1. Create, influence, and execute a vision to measure investments across the Commercial sector.
2. Partner with the business team to implement new processes (controllership) and drive improvements of existing processes.
3. Own key reporting metrics (KPIs) and narratives to help business partners understand areas of growth and opportunities for engagement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree, or MBA.
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MBA or CPA.
• Experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
