Job summary

SF Partners in Tamworth is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to join the Group Finance team. This newly created, senior role offers ownership across statutory reporting, audit and financial controls, with direct exposure to the Group Finance Director.

You will bring greater ownership of statutory accounts, lead the year-end process, strengthen controls and drive process improvements. The role suits a technically strong qualified accountant who can challenge status quo and operate

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with UK standards and audit experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to lead year-end.
• Experience in statutory accounts preparation and closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of statutory accounts and bring process in-house.
• Lead year-end and be main contact for external auditors.
• Ensure statutory reporting is accurate and completed within deadlines.
• Strengthen financial controls across the Group.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting quality.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, processes and procedures.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to the wider finance team.
• Work with Group Finance Director on reporting, governance and improvement projects.
• Support wider Group Finance initiatives as the role evolves.
