Exciting opportunity for a high-caliber individual seeking a Senior Financial Accountant role in a leading Media & Entertainment organization with a supportive culture and opportunities for progression.

My client is a leading media business looking to expand their finance team by adding a Senior Financial Accountant. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within accounting at a global market leader. It is a great next step for a qualified, audit-trained accountant with 2+ years of industry experience aiming for a progression.

Please note: You must be ACA qualified.

The Role

As a key member of the finance team, this role involves financial accounting duties and supporting the group finance team.

• Submitting timely monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Drafting technical accounting papers on key transactions
• Preparing journals and reconciliations
• Reviewing financial statements
• Ensuring controls and standards are met
• Preparing statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP
• Collaborating with other departments to drive revenue and efficiencies
• Supporting group reporting with monthly consolidations

Stakeholder management skills and an affable personality are essential due to regular interactions with senior management. The role requires a proactive performer with the ambition and insight to suggest process improvements.

Your Background

You are an ACA qualified accountant with at least 2 years post-qualified experience, ideally audit-trained and with experience in a media organization. Experience with M&A transactions is required.
