About this role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Financial Accountant R2R to support financial reporting, trend analysis, and process improvements. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial data, identifying variances and trends, and contributing to data-driven decision-making.

You will collaborate closely with finance teams, auditors, and internal stakeholders to enhance reporting accuracy, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency. In this role, you will play a key part in upholding adherence to IFRS, internal policies, and financial controls. By streamlining financial workflows and aligning processes with global finance standards, you will contribute to a more agile and consistent financial operation across the organization.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

Core Accounting & Reporting:

• Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries.
• Ensure accuracy in intercompany accounting and consolidation processes.
• Ensure accuracy in payroll accounting, including payroll reconciliations, salary journal entries, and collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure correct allocation of payroll costs.
• Provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS.

Financial Analysis & Insights:

• Assist in analyzing financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Investigate unusual transactions and discrepancies, ensuring data integrity.
• Support variance analysis on key financial accounts (e.g., payroll, accruals, leasing, fixed assets).
• Contribute to the development of financial dashboards and reporting tools.

Process Improvements & Compliance:

• Participate in projects aimed at automating and optimizing accounting processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to IFRS, internal policies, and financial controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline financial workflows and align with globalfinance standards.

What will you bring to the table?

• Qualified accountant or actively pursuing a qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Senior experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, or a similar role.
• Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements, with a preference for BE GAAP expertise.
• Experience with month-end closing, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Workday, Oracle, or similar) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis tools, etc.).
• A strong interest in self-learning and developing data-handling and coding skills to support automation, efficiency improvements, and enhanced financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
