Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Senior Finance Systems Administrator and Analyst to administer and optimise the e5 Finance system. You will work with Finance, IT and suppliers to ensure reliability, controls and timely enhancements, with a focus on reporting, automation and process improvements.

Based in the UK, the role offers hybrid working after training, with offices in Plymouth, Bristol, Derby or Nottingham.

Qualifications

• Qualification in business, finance or IT or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting business or finance systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office experience.
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially e5 or similar.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the e5 Finance system.
• Monitor system performance and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain user access, security roles and controls.
• Provide user support and guidance for queries.
• Coordinate with IT and suppliers for maintenance and upgrades.
• Assist testing and implementation of enhancements.
• Produce and analyse reports to meet business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automation.
• Maintain system documentation and user guides.
• Support audit, compliance and governance activities.
• Contribute to system and business improvement initiatives.
• Develop knowledge of ICON and AWS reporting solutions.
