Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Senior Finance Systems Administrator and Analyst to administer and support the e5 finance system, ensuring continuous operation and governance. You will work across Finance, IT, and suppliers to resolve issues and implement enhancements.

The role offers hybrid working after initial training, with opportunities to develop ICON and AWS reporting knowledge for future Finance Systems initiatives. Travel to offices may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Relevant business, finance or IT qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting business or finance systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder and customer service skills.
• Experience of ERP systems, particularly e5 or similar enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the e5 Finance system.
• Monitor system performance and investigate issues to support timely resolution.
• Maintain user access, security roles and system controls.
• Provide support and guidance to system users, resolving queries and incidents.
• Liaise with IT teams and software suppliers to support system maintenance and upgrades.
• Support testing and implementation of system enhancements and approved changes.
• Produce and analyse reports to support business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and automation.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures and user guidance materials.
• Support audit, compliance and governance activities.
• Contribute to system and business improvement initiatives.
• Develop knowledge of ICON and AWS reporting solutions to support future Finance Systems activities.
