Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Senior Finance Systems Administrator and Analyst to administer the e5 Finance system, support users, and drive improvements. The role collaborates with Finance, IT and suppliers to ensure reliable operation and to enhance reporting and automation.

You will develop expertise in ICON and AWS reporting as part of evolving the Finance Systems function, with hybrid working and two days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Relevant business, finance or IT qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting business or finance systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder and customer service skills.
• Experience of ERP systems, particularly e5 or similar enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the e5 Finance system.
• Monitor system performance and investigate issues to support timely resolution.
• Maintain user access, security roles and system controls.
• Provide support and guidance to system users, resolving queries and incidents.
• Liaise with IT teams and software suppliers to support system maintenance and upgrades.
• Support testing and implementation of system enhancements and approved changes.
• Produce and analyse reports to support business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and automation.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures and user guidance materials.
• Support audit, compliance and governance activities.
• Contribute to system and business improvement initiatives.
• Develop knowledge of ICON and AWS reporting solutions to support future Finance Systems activities.
