Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems (RES) is seeking a Management Accountant to oversee monthly management accounts, cash flow, budgeting, VAT, and statutory reporting for Northern Europe assets including wind, solar and storage. You will act as a finance partner to asset managers, auditors and lenders, delivering timely, accurate reporting.

The role requires strong IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge, ERP experience (IFS), and advanced Excel skills, with a focus on continuous improvement of reporting and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting knowledge across IFRS, UK GAAP and charity/industry standards.
• Experience preparing statutory and management accounts with accurate reconciliations.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience using ERP systems and improving reporting processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including journal postings.
• Support cash flow forecasting and variance analysis against budget.
• Assist in annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the portfolio.
• Oversee VAT returns and statutory accounts under IFRS/FRS102/UK GAAP.
• Assist with onboarding of new projects into the asset management portfolio.
• Support continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes.
