Job summary

Buro Happold Limited in Bath is seeking a commercially minded Group Finance Business Partner to join our global finance team. You will partner with project and regional teams to provide financial expertise on high-value projects and strengthen governance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include forecasting, reporting and performance analysis, delivering clear financial insights, and supporting audits and revenue recognition reviews. The role offers hybrid working from Bath.

Qualifications

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA finalist status, or be fully qualified.
• Previous experience in project finance, commercial finance or finance business partnering.
• Experience supporting complex projects, ideally within professional services, engineering, consultancy or construction-related environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across a matrix organisation.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
• Experience within engineering, construction or professional services sectors.
• Knowledge of Agresso and/or Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Experience contributing to process improvement and standardisation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, financial reporting and performance analysis for project teams.
• Delivering clear financial insights that enable informed business decisions.
• Monitoring project performance through variance analysis, cost tracking and cash flow management.
• Advising project teams on financial risks, opportunities and performance drivers.
• Reinforcing financial governance and ensuring compliance with Group policies and controls.
• Supporting project audits and revenue recognition reviews.
• Providing specialist finance support on complex or strategically important projects across multiple regions.
• Building strong relationships with project leaders and finance stakeholders globally.
• Helping drive consistency and best practice in project finance, reporting and financial management.
• Supporting the implementation of finance systems, policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
