Job summary

Bury VCFA is seeking a Senior Finance and Operations Officer to lead day-to-day financial processes and operational administration. You will work closely with the Chief Officer, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and efficient office operations in Bury.

The role requires strong financial and organisational skills, experience supervising staff, and a proactive approach to improving systems. Office-based, permanent contract with pension and annual leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance administration and operational support.
• Ability to monitor budgets and deliver financial reporting.
• Experience maintaining a safe, compliant working environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including invoicing and payments to suppliers and grant recipients, payroll and related tasks.
• Maintain accurate financial records and manage financial data using QuickBooks.
• Manage facilities, IT providers and office systems for smooth operations.
• Support governance, risk management and board paper preparation.
