Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records and complete financial reports.
• Prepare management accounts and perform variance analysis.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements under FRS 102.
• Provide departmental/site management information.
• Support junior team members and oversee their tasks.

Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a varied role suited to a confident finance professional with strong experience in financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting and VAT compliance. The successful candidate will also support junior team members and contribute to financial statement preparation, working within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records and completion of financial reports.
• Completion of management accounts and analysis.
• Departmental/Sites management information.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements in compliance with FRS 102.
• Have an understanding and oversight of junior team member's tasks.
• Budget Analysis.
• Assist with VAT returns and VAT Compliance.

Key Skills and Experience:

• CAT/AAT Qualified, ACCA Part qualified, qualified by experience.
• Proficiency in financial software systems such as Sage and advanced Excel skills, including database creation for data import/export.
• Strong background in financial reporting, management accounts, and budget variance analysis.
• Familiar with FRS 102.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment with ongoing changes to processes and system.
• Good communication and investigative skills.
