Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group in Halifax is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to own the management accounts across three UK entities and lead a high-performing Management Accounts team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will drive robust financial control, deliver timely reporting, partner with FP&A, and challenge performance to support strategic decisions.

This senior role offers hybrid working with 1–2 days in the Huddersfield area and a competitive package with bonus and broader benefits.

Qualifications

• Ownership of management accounts and month-end processes.
• Experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control knowledge.
• Experience across multiple entities or business units.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative with FP&A and wider finance teams.
• Interest in improving processes and developing people.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of Management Accountants.
• Owning the month-end and management accounts process across entities.
• Ensuring robust financial controls, reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
• Reviewing management accounts, budgets and financial performance.
• Providing clear financial analysis and insight to the Head of Finance and leadership.
• Working with FP&A to align reporting, forecasting and planning.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Supporting reporting and MI to improve visibility of performance.
• Acting as senior finance contact for stakeholders across the business.
• Coaching the team and fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
