Scottish Leather Group seeks a Senior Finance Manager - FP&A & Commercial to shape the Group’s financial outlook and align performance with commercial strategy.
You’ll lead planning, forecasting, and reporting, partner with Sales leadership, and drive automation while developing a high-performing FP&A team. A comprehensive rewards package and strategic impact await.
Great finance teams don’t simply report the numbers – they turn financial data into the insight, challenge, and direction that drive better business decisions. By combining strong financial planning, commercial understanding, and a commitment to continuous improvement, they help businesses understand performance, identify opportunities, manage risk, and make confident, well-informed decisions that support sustainable growth.
As our Senior Finance Manager - FP&A & Commercial, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s financial outlook and strengthening the connection between financial performance and commercial strategy. Working closely with the Head of Finance, CFO, and wider Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams, you’ll lead financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and commercial finance activities, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insight. With a strong focus on sales performance, customer profitability, gross margin, and cash impact, you’ll help the business understand what is driving results and where opportunities exist to improve them. You’ll also champion the simplification and automation of reporting and forecasting processes, while leading and developing a capable FP&A and Commercial Finance team to deliver meaningful business support.
You’re someone who looks beyond the numbers to understand business performance and drive improvement. Commercially minded, analytical, and proactive, you bring strong financial expertise, challenge assumptions, and build trusted relationships across the business. You turn complex information into clear, actionable insight, taking ownership and helping the business make better-informed decisions.
As our Senior Finance Manager - FP&A & Commercial, you’ll play a vital role in turning financial information into a clearer understanding of business performance and a stronger foundation for strategic and commercial decisions. Through robust forecasting, insightful management reporting, and a deeper understanding of sales, pricing, customer profitability, and gross margin, you’ll help the Group anticipate challenges, recognise opportunities, and focus on the actions that will deliver the greatest financial impact.
Your ability to challenge assumptions, connect financial results with operational and commercial drivers, and build strong relationships across the business will help embed Finance as a proactive partner in decision‑making. By simplifying and automating reporting processes, you’ll improve the quality and accessibility of financial insight, enabling leaders to spend less time interpreting data and more time acting on it. Through your leadership and development of the FP&A and Commercial Finance team, you’ll also strengthen the capability, consistency, and effectiveness of the wider Finance function.
You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, financial security, and career development. This includes a company pension, life assurance, company sick pay, enhanced annual leave that increases with service, and access to a health and wellbeing programme alongside an Employee Assistance Programme with private GP services. You’ll also have opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and development support, plus practical perks such as cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, free on‑site parking, and access to a range of retail discounts.
We believe our strength comes from our people. We value diversity, encourage development, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.
If you’re a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys looking beyond the numbers, challenging the status quo, and helping businesses make better decisions, we’d love to hear from you.
